Prim Blanket Stitch Appliqué

These frightfully cute primitive stitchery appliqué designs for machine embroidery will be great on all your Halloween projects. Rather than the usual satin stitch appliqué outline, I've used a blanket stitch for the appliqué and a backstitch for the details to enhance the "prim" look. With 15 designs in either the 4x4 or 5x7 size you can build a wonderful Halloween scene.

Now, you should note that these appliqué designs are not your usual trim in place appliqué designs. The designs come with a PDF file containing all of the patterns and instructions for doing the appliqué. You'll need to cut out the appliqué pattern, spray it with a little adhesive and lay it on your base fabric after the placement line stitches. It's very easy to do but does require cutting out a pattern. So if you're into a little detail work try the free sample design to see if you like this kind of appliqué.
