Project Linus
My friend, Nancy, is involved in a very worthy project making
quilts for children of all ages in need. I think this is such a
wonderful thing to do so I've digitized a special set for her Project Linus
chapter to use on their quilts and blankets. You can see the designs
below. In addition to giving Nancy's chapter the designs, I will also
donate a portion of the proceeds to her chapter to purchase materials for
the quilts.
If you would also like a free set of the designs for
your Project Linus chapter, just have your chapter coordinator
. Please note that in order to qualify for the free set your chapter
must be registered with Project Linus and your project coordinator's e-mail
address must match the one listed on the
Project Linus Website chapter listing.
No exceptions.
Here's a quilt the Abbey's Linus Group made with my Bears
on the Beach redwork set and a short write up from her local newspaper.

The picture of “Bears on the Beach” was sent in by the
Abbey’s Linus Group of Fairview Heights, IL. The group was re-started in
June 2004, under the leadership of Jean Lasley, and donated 38 quilts last
year and has donated 19 already in 2005.
The group meets once a month at Abbey Sewing Center and
spends the day sewing, quilting and enjoying the friendship of fellow
sewists.
Just a thought...If your stash is overflowing or your doing
a “clean sweep” of your sewing room or even if you just have odds and ends of fabric and
batting that you know you will never use why not consider donating it to a
very worthy cause? Please contact about donating your extras
to the Abbey's Linus Group.
Here's a photo of a quilt Nancy made from my
Gone Fishing set.
