Things You Should Know Software and Formats...I use the Bernina Artista version
4
software for digitizing my designs.
It is always best to convert and/or resize designs using the software the
design was digitized in. Designs are available in the following
formats: jef format now available for all designs. Just make sure the design size is compatible with your hoop. For more information on design formats click this link:
How you get the designs . . .Embroidery design sets will be e-mailed to you within 48 hours of purchase, Monday through Friday. Important: If you have not received your designs within 48 hours that means that my email probably ended up in your spam filter, is blocked by your ISP or your mailbox was full. This last one happens a lot with free mail accounts. So please email me if you don't receive your designs within 48 hours. If you need the designs on a CD please email me to make arrangements. CDs are shipped to U.S. addresses only. Delivery of international orders by email only. Payment information . . .I accept personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and E-Checks (direct debit) in U.S. dollars. Credit cards and E-Checks are processed by PayPal. Embroidery Design Shop is a verified PayPal merchant. PayPal is the world's #1 online payment service, accepted on over 3 million eBay auctions and by thousands of online shops. Over 12 million people in 37 countries worldwide use PayPal. By using PayPal all information is stored on the PayPal secure server. No personal or credit card information is collected or stored on my server/website. You do not have to sign up to use PayPal but will be given the option during checkout.
If you would prefer to pay by check drawn on a U.S. bank or a U.S. domestic money order please send an email to with your name, address, email address, item descriptions and quantity per item. We will email a confirmation and order total. Please allow an additional 10 days for your order to be processed if you are paying by check. Taxes . . .Virginia residents, 4.5% tax will be added to your order at checkout. Privacy . . .I do not keep your personal information on my website/server. I will not sell your email address (I absolutely hate that) and I will not spam you (I don't like that either but see the next section for updates and specials). Exception to Spam Policy . . .If you would like to be notified when a new design set is released and of specials, please email me to sign up for my email list. Not only will you receive the latest news about new sets, you will also receive a special discount or other special offer available to list members only. Terms of Use and Copyright Notice . . .1. You may stitch out my designs on any number of articles to give as gifts. 2. You may use my designs on up to 200 items for sale at craft fairs, bazaars or your own website only if you include a link to my website from yours or my website address on the item’s hang tag. If you plan to sell items in shops or boutiques, please contact me for licensing information. 3. Free sample designs are for your personal use only. They are provided for you to test the quality of my designs and ensure they will work on your machine. Therefore, the free sample designs may not be used on any item for sale without first obtaining licensing rights. 4. All designs, instructions and graphics on my website are copyright protected. You may not give away, sell, trade or include in a compilation collection any of the designs, instructions or graphics obtained from or located on the Embroidery Design Shop website or cd, including free sample designs. 1. Project Linus: I have digitized a very special set of designs for Project Linus and a portion of the sales proceeds goes directly to a Project Linus group to help with the costs of materials and supplies. Although your Project Linus group has received the designs free of charge, all copyrights still apply and the designs may not be given away, sold or used on items for sale. If another Project Linus group would like to use the designs please have the project coordinator contact me and they too will receive the designs free of charge. So please make as many Project Linus quilts as you’d like and use the designs on whatever personal projects or gifts you choose but the designs may not be used on items for sale under any circumstances without first obtaining written permission from the Embroidery Design Shop.
Refund and Replacement Policy . . .Refunds: Since the designs are digital goods there are no refunds. If you are concerned about the quality of the design, please try a free sample designs before making your purchase. Replacements: If for some reason your design files are corrupted during transmission, I will replace the files during the first two weeks after purchase free of charge. If your computer crashes and the files are lost, I will replace the files during the first 6 months from date of purchase for a $5.00 fee per set. I know it takes time to make back up copies and we would all rather spend that time sewing but I urge you to make back up copies of all your designs. Specials . . .When a new design set is released I normally have some kind of special discount for a limited time (usually about 2 weeks). Sometimes I offer a discount on the price and other times it's a 2 for 1 special. To avoid re-programming my paypal buttons, as of May 1, 2004, all
discounts and special offers will only be available to email list members.
